On Wednesday, September 22, 2010, Heritage Day Health Centers presented a "A Celebration of Aging, Independence and Dignity" at their center on East Dublin Granville Road in the Northland area of Columbus. The highlight of the afternoon reception was the presentation of the "Heritage Award for Caring" by the Heritage Day Health Centers Board of Trustees to Fran Ryan for her long and legendary public service to the citizens of central Ohio and, more recently, her role as one of central Ohio's leading advocates for seniors in our communities. Fran's longtime friend Mike Curtin, Associate Publisher Emeritus of the Columbus Dispatch, served as honorary chair of the event.
